Newton County's new 911 center was designed to create a better indoor environment so that the dispatchers and support personnel can function at peak efficiency in their daily critical positions. Ruskin ERV model M11 was selected to provide fresh air and save energy.
The new center will allow emergency workers to stay overnight in case of bad weather or disasters. It will provide dispatching services for an assortment of operations inside Newton County, including the sheriff’s department; the ambulance service; the Neosho police and fire departments; the Neosho Public Works Department; and police departments in Seneca and Granby. According to the Newton County Communications office, the building’s construction will protect the emergency management director, operations and the 911 dispatch during the most severe storms.
When Hurst-Rosche Engineers of Neosho, Missouri put the indoor ERV in the schedule, the first name they listed was Ruskin. The word is spreading that these energy saving units are on their way to becoming the industry standard. Model M11 was selected for its side-by-side horizontal duct connections and the ERV was supplied with dirty filter switches and disconnect with GFI. The architect was Core Architects of Rogers, AR and Simpson Sheet Metal of Carthage, MO installed the ERV’s. Ben said a “combination of good delivery, competitive ERV pricing and product selection” helped secure the sale."
