Life safety systems in hospitals and health care facilities are not the same as those found in other building types.  There are numerous systems to manage in the event of an emergency.  With the permission of Engineered Systems magazine, we’re posting a two-part article written a few years ago by Mr. J. Patrick Banse, P.E. from Smith Seckman Reid, Inc.
